Thanks to the partnership between Centrale Adriatica, Lexter, LXE and Itworks, a voice picking system was implemented in the Refrigerated Warehouse for deep frozen products at Anzola dell’Emilia in the province of Bologna, the Mixed Goods Warehouse of San Vito al Tagliamento and the Cesena Warehouse.
The Refrigerated Warehouse of Anzola dell’Emilia has space for 4.500 pallets and a total of 20 operators for each of the 2 shifts per day who manage 1000 different references to be delivered to 363 sales locations.
The voice picking software, installed in the LXE MX7CS devices, allow to work with the hands free making the operations more fluid. An optimal result in a refrigerated environment where the operators are equipped with thick, lined jackets, wool caps and protective gloves which allow them to work safely in refrigerated chambers and warehouses at -30 degrees.

Logistics operators also appreciate its versatility which allows for either standard or vocal use with the same vo-CE application.
In this specific project which had reduction of costs due to errors as the main goal, a 50-60% reduction of errors in the phase of picking as well as a relevant increase of productivity were achieved in only one year. Itworks voice solution associated with the high performance of the LXE devices guides the activities of the operators during the entire picking process, from the picking itself to the preparation of the rolls ready to be delivered to the sales locations, optimizing their movements and the whole working process.
